Problem solved. Fuel injector pump had been only partially rebuilt, due to miscommunication between my mechanic and the rebuild specialist. My mechanic took back the unit, had their specialist complete the job, gave me a break on the second-round removal/re-installation labor, and now my 86 300SDL is a road rocket! Excellent acceleration. Fuel economy seems better too. My Mercedes has come back to life, my mechanic gave me a very fair deal (he's a great guy) and I'm a happy camper.

That palm tree has been there for over 15 years back when it was the palms motel now is just a McDonald's and that's is the one of two that are left back when they were over 5

[diesel_mercedes] mpg

 

Oddly enough, the 300d I just recently acquired has gotten 28, 29, 29.5
and 24.3 mpg those are the only fillups I have done since I got the
car. I do know that seemed oddly high, and so I did check the odo with
my GPS and it is accurate... I do also note that I drove the car most
of the last fillup, and I surely am more heavy on the throttle than my
wife who drove the first 3 tanks.

Well, come park here. If it's Saturday I'm doing a birthday for my sweets. (732-6249)I make carob birthday cake with cream cheese frosting, with home made ice cream. Sorry I lost my connection for fresh goat milk so I have to use cow milk,, but I make due. What a summer huh? So cold and wet. I drove myself into town today and I noticed the corn plants in folks gardens, really good indicator of whats happening. Very small looking. Hard to bitch about being too cool and not having a bad fire season, but hey summer is almost over here, if it does not get here tomorrow the garden will be in trouble. But it's soooo green and the wild flowers this year are amazing. But for all folks from other places, the bugs are bad, eat you alive, the dust chokes you, the mud eats your car, the hillbilly neighbors are bad. Let's see what else. It's a terrible place to live, no work, no nothing, no money. Max

Thats what we do small Mom an Pop Janitorial Business.I used to be a Machinist on CNC lathes and Mills But my disability stopped that.Ran the business for 14 years and gave to wife,as Im disabled now.Hope to move to S.A. soon,then I'll come to Del Rio.

So many regulations and purchasing requirements that they don't spend alot of money locally. But the housing and apartment complexes are money makers with military and border protection. Its the same but more civil service and new contractors I'm in The janitorial and paper supply company but it is tough. So many regulations and purchasing requirements that they don't spend alot of money locally. But the housing and apartment complexes are money makers with military and border protection. My '86 190D 5 speed posted 41mpg on a week of my wife's I-5 commute and gets 34 around town. This being Seattle you can guess we didn't use the a/c.  Both have 250,000+ miles on the original engines.
