Yes, my Coupe's guide rod bushings failed and groaned now and then .
This is a definite clunk noise not from the toe board, higher up . *might* be the firewall sway bar bushings, @ 300,000 + miles I figure to do it all at one time, I can still get almost every part from Mercedes, not going to wa$te a moment of crappy uro brand junk .
It cooled off to only 90* F here to - day, I was still soaked in sweat by 09:00 .
