Thanks Max.The original manual for my 1959 190D , stated that you could run close to 50% gas for winter fuel. Keep putting diesel in as often as you can to" tip the scale" back to diesel. Max
I just don't want to goof up the pump. Fortunately it's a wet sump design, so it will be hard to wreck. I just don't want to be one of those who will be saying, "Well, it WAS a nice car!"
One positive side effect, the clear fuel filter is now black as can be. I must have extincted the bacteria and washed the little critters out of the tank! When this is done, I am going to replace it.
