Just putting this back on my screen so I can  find it again - time to get 4 Bilstein HD shocks.

Ladies and Gentlemen

If you are considering new shock absorbers for your Mercedes, the folks at shockwarehouse.com have agreed to provide a discount for members of this group using the code noted below. Be nice to Casey.

Ok, your discount code is mercdiesel12 . You can enter this discount code in on the same page you enter the credit card info. Please feel free to email me personally if you or any of your members have any ordering questions or technical questions. I myself have been a mercedes technician for 5 years so I can help with questions you may have. Also I am in the process of changing the mercedes models to be listed by model number rather than chassis number (most people are confused when they see chassis numbers), so like I said feel free to email with any questions at Casey@shockwarehouse.com.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] No heat or fan when cold out, though fine when warm.

After spending $450 for tires, and $450 for tie rods + assorted front end work, I have nothing left at the moment. Next will be (4) Bilstein shocks, and then I will go back to small stuff until I tackle my wife's car. I don't mind spending $1 or $2 K on each car every year, but I like to put some space between the outlay.

Mary's heater works great after 1/4 mile. I changed the monovalve 1 year ago. Blower is great - but A/C compressor leaks so I have no A/C until I put a new compressor in place.

Martha's blower is not working. I do get heat, but can't blow it out. My wife isn't happy about that. Her A/C is not working either. Once I get the blower blowing, I'll tackle the A/C.

Always something to do in MB land.

I've noticed that my A/C unit is getting worse this winter, luckily I'm
in SoCal.
When it's cold out (40* or below) I get no heat or fan , though it's
fine later when it has warmed up.
This morning I had no heat or fan the 10 miles to work.
Has anybody else had this problem? If so, what was it, or fixed it?
I have the horizontal buttons (Clima-II). I have changed the fuses
lately, repeatedly clicked the buttons off and on, set the heat dial on
MAX. I want to get A/C fixed for summer, yet want to get a head start on
the system.
Thanks

I have this same problem with my heater on my 87 300D. When it is above 30 the blower works on heat  but when temps drop into the 20's the blower won't come on.. somebody know what is up with
this.    Gene
