Pretty soon I'll be afraid to ride in it , I bet Tom won't go near it now =8-) .
Me , I still think the old , 1972 Subaru's were *perfect* in every way

Sure, but you don't want that because you give up
sensitivity. You need as much sensitivity as you can get if
you are trying to match injectors' crack pressures.

I don't know if something like could work or not because of the distances. But I have bought a lot of tools that only get used once. CAse in point, my injector tester, Ive had it for about 25 years and used it once on one injector. Anyway just thinking outloud here. Any ideas? Max

Yes , he broken lamp had that nifty clear plastic anti-shatter film on it , the lens shattered but didn't fall off the car , it just hung down.
We also have blowing sand issues , even in town and German glass is *very* soft so many older German cars that are parked outside , even the In Town ones , have badly pitted windshields , my '84 Coupe is like this , I am considering experimenting with polishing it using glass lens polish , I already reduced the glaring million pin points of light greatly by repeated application of Rain-X but this windshield
is ruined , having a start crack in it already so why not experiment.

I think it's Diesel Giant who sells them fairly affordably , occasionally they put them on sale .
They do pop up on Flea-Bay from time to time too .
You can make one from a cheap Chinese hydraulic bottle jack , instructions OnLine somewheres , I got yo use one once and it worked out quite well .
