[diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy Check '84 300CD Slushbox

375 miles, 22.4 MPG, Biobor used, filters look clean but I'm noticing the boost comes in later and later RPM / load wise, I guess I should have lapped the boot popoff valve when I had the turbo apart, Rob kindly gave me a box of disassembled turbos so yesterday I began cleaning the outer housing of a pre 1982 model T3

and will soon move on to the inner part with the wastegate and popoff valve....

Of course, I'm also doing a top end on a vintage Honda CT90k2 and some other fiddles/tinkering here and there on the Diesel fleet and SWMBO says it's time for me to address the 2016 Honda car one of our Foster boys trashed and gave back to us when he decided not to keep paying the note .

BTW : it's Saturday morning and anyone who wants to make good used of the sunshine to - day is welcome here :

TT, a few of us are doing a winter fun run up Glendora Mountain Road to Mount Baldy and would enjoy having some more drivers along. Never been, but these are supposed to be fantastic roads. Route below.

Meet up is at 9:45 at the Shell station Shell, 1860 E Rte 66, Glendora, CA 91740. Plan is to end up at Mt. Baldy lodge for lunchtime, then either re-run the same route down, proceed on up the switchbacks to the top and maybe see some snow, or take the straight/quick way down and get home early. Lots of options.

Reply directly (not to all) if you can make it or show up. Should be a fun one.
