Retired, and yet, tired?
Looks like a good days work. Nice job!
For body plugs, that's something B-D Company/Denver Auto Fasteners would have:
http://denverautofasteners.com/hole-plugs/
They're an Au-ve-co distributor:

Probably part number 18798 from the Au-ve-co online catalogue:

Perhaps there's distributor somewhere in SoCal....

I spent the day working on my 1984 300CD, we're taking it on an out of state road trip soon .I removed the rear bumper to add my European trailer hitch but the hitch is firmly rusted to the other bumper so instead I did much cleaning of accumulated Diesel smoot and oily mess behind my bumper, the cove and the underside of the trunk, at the same time I completely unloaded the trunk and washed it beginning at the inside of the trunk lid (my factory safety triangle looked sooty so I worked from top down) , remove the three drain rubbers and had at it ~ wow was there a lot of oily residue and misc. screws, clips and so on that I'd tossed in at the junkyard and forgotten about .I tried washing the trunk carpet with some industrial degreaser I bought at COSTCO, it's hanging up to dry and I think I got most of the oil and crap out / off of it .I also removed the driver's seat and vacuumed the floor after removing the carpets, lots of moisture under there so I'm driving this afternoon sans carpets to see if the water comes out the AC vents (apparently not) .I used a toothbrush to loosed the accumulated crud stuck to the floor and found $0.95 CENTS (oh joy) .I replaced the damaged driver's side door bottom trim and as I'd feared, the idiots who dented it, hit the door so hard they dented the door a bit too so now there's a gap between the trim and door, right in the middle .Sigh .Whilst the trunk and floor were drying I scrubbed the driver's seat wit Meguiar's #40 and a soft brush, there's a bit of a hole in the lower backrest and cracks on the bolsters so I may be forced to figure out how to afford new seat covers at long last .One of these dayze I hope to get the entire car painted, don't hold your breath though .I need to find some rubber/plastic body plugs that are either 2.469" or 62.5MM, not sure where to find these, I've been looking a while now with no luck .To - morrow looks like another day off, gotta take SWMBO to the eye Dr. then have dinner with my Son .I didn't thin it hot to - day but I was soaked like a dishrag by the time I quit .-Nate
