Re: [diesel_mercedes] Control Pressure Rod Too Long?

Is the control pressure rod that is too long from the turbo engine set-up?  Is it possible to use the rod from your original engine?

Make sure the lever on the side of the transmission is on correctly (I think it goes on only one way).  Also make sure the lever at the top of the engine is set in the correct direction.

Is the lever hitting the car body?

You may have to scout for a rod from a turboed '82-'85 300D in a PAP, or get creative with a disc cutter and welder....

It appears now that we have the turbo sitting in my 81 300D, the Control Pressure Rod is too long. What do we do about that?
