This group provides a forum for owners and operators of diesel powered motorhomes and 5th wheel tractors to discuss mechanical issues, regulatory issues (US, Canada), ownership, insurance, campground accommodations, trip reports/suggestions, and other topics relevant to large RVs and the people who drive them.

I think the 305 Hondas were all pretty good bikes ~ I had quite a few CA77's, the 'Dream' version and one CL77, the 305 'Scrambler' although it weighed close to a million pounds and wasn't even much good on sandy fire roads, forget about sand .
I had hoped to be astride my 1970 Honda CT90k0 but the reality is I'll be lucky to ride in 2018 at all .
You'll just have to ride for me and remember me when you're stopped somewhere with PIE and COFFEE
FWIW, the LAPD used Moto Guzzi Eldorado 850's and fine Motos they were too IMO . I nearly bought one at auction for $350 in 1975 or so but that was a _lot_ of money for a young married man with a family.....

And about five-years after you got your endorsement, I got mine, some 3-weeks after I got my driver's license. By that time I had been riding for 2-years, mostly on the street. Colorado, and especially Jefferson County, where I grew up, was a much smaller and freer place back then. The Jeffco Sheriff deputies generally looked the other way at underage motorcycle riding, as long as you didn't do anything stupid....
(BTW, the Jeffco Sheriff's office used Moto Guzzis in the '70s, most with well over 100,000 miles on them!)
I've never been hit on a motorcycle. In fact, I've only had one real accident on a bike, back when I was still in high school. I was eastbound on Colfax one afternoon, when a Dodge Dart turned left in front of me. I managed to just miss him/her, but lost control of the bike, and we went down. I was mostly unharmed, but my '67 Honda Super Hawk (CB77) didn't fare so well. It took a few weeks before I could scrounge all the parts needed to get her back on the road. The Dart never stopped.
I know I've been very fortunate over the past 40-years, and no amount of alert and careful riding will keep one from encounters with the worst and inattentive of drivers out there. Hopefully, God willing, I will have many more years of riding before I get too old to kick over the old Beeser....
Please continue to get better, Nate.

As there's a wallymart near my Son's house I often do too, this time I was closer to pep Boys .
In general I try to avoid wallymart because they're bad for local economies and tend to beat up on their employees too .-NateBrian wrote :I get my Rotella at Walmart as long as I am there anyway.
