Re: [diesel_mercedes] 84 300SD - Sylvia update - windshield gasket and trim clip recommendations?

Actually I should not say OEM, but rather MB dealership or Classic rubber.

It was actually a body shop guy who subbed out the window installation to a 'pro'

I know there's lots of places to order from, but where will I get the best quality gasket/seal and can I even get new trim clips?

Will spend my Mem. day weekend diagnosing the vacuum pump, but she'll be back on the road this week - thanks to all for reminding me I don't want to part with this thing just yet :-)

[diesel_mercedes] Diesel purge and new filters

After yesterdays diesel purge and new fuel filters, my MB has a bit more
pep. I was noticing a lack of power lately, so I was pleased at the
power increase. The clear plastic filter was pretty clean, yet the spin
on one must have been clogging up at the normal 30k. There wasn't much
dirt in the diesel purge, compared to the first time I ever purged it,
where it was black on the return. I already changed the CA air filter,
which was a deal at $45.

I'm ready for the brake job this weekend, and now will re-grease the
bearings too.

Any updates on the Ceramic Brake pads?

I'm on for this weekend.
My brake pad wear light is on solid now, though last weekend it was just
starting to flash when the brakes were applied.

I have 2 sets of ceramic pads, wear sensors, new flexi brakelines, and a
fresh bottle of brake fluid, so I'm ready to go.

I also have a bottle of Diesel purge to run through it, and some new
filters.

If I get on a roll, I'll try to cover a bit more of the 30K service needs.
