I had a local (cheap) gas station that did the same to my 300d AND my
2005 chevy duramax.
Both of them had gas gauge problems. I don't remember if they were
showing all full, or all empty now. It was a couple o years ago.
All that I could guess is they ended up with diesel with a high
electrical conductivity. Maybe someone filled the station with really
high sulfur content? The next fill up cured the issue. I didn't go
back there.
