[diesel_mercedes] Re: Bought the wrenches.

Marvin, got the wrenches, they look real good, high quality with rubber grips, bit pricey but delivery was on time. Now need Nate to come up and show me how to use them. y'know like which end goes on the nut and all that.
Tony.

Hi gang!!

well in my efforts to get the SDL in shape for summer fun, I had my friend
rebuild the front left suspension and such (it had started wobbling at
times, and, we found the left side was very sloppy, right was tight). Front
end work, for some reason, freaks me, so I pay him, he's a professional.

Anyway,
it removing the front wheel motion sensor, it broke into pieces.
Well, we ordered a new one and installed.........and now, the ABS is acting
weird, give a little "hick" just as I come to a stop, and it has thrown an
ABS light from time to time at low speed.

we've cleaned and cleaned, checked for fit, everything.......
putting an oscilloscope on the front right (original) sensor, we get a good
clean signal when spinning the wheel. But on the left, (new one) sporadic
signal until the wheel is spinning at a pretty fair rate.
And, we ordered another sensor, and it's the same.......

we're stumped! all things should be fine, co-ax connection is clean and
tight, sensor sits in the hole, which has been thoroughly cleaned........not
sure what else to do.

any thoughts, would be appreciated!!

Oh yeah, and after close inspection, the engine seems to have survived last
summers over heat, intact and running fine. yay that!
