I remember changing the axles on our 1968 VW beetles - quite a difference from the w123's and w126's

I did, but now they are all in a shed which I visit when spring gets the temps above 50F. Today I will change the oil in Martha and I don't like doing that when the temps are 60F - oh well.

Legends of the Autobahn was a must visit event for any Mercedes enthusiast during August's crowded Monterey Car Week. I cruised my recently acquired 64k mile 300TD wagon down early Friday and joined the fun.

The lineup of cars was engagingly eclectic and reflected Mercedes enthusiasts' shifting interests. All quite refreshing.
