Re: [diesel_mercedes] 300SD starting problem after sitting 2 hrs
My 300 sd won't start until I pump the prime pump several times after it's been sitting for a while. If the car is full of fuel it will start even left overnight. Once it goes down a couple of gallons it needs to be primed to start if it's off for a couple hours.... Any ideas ??
thks

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Re : W-123 Starter Connector Box
Nate, Do you recall which 2 wires would be jumpered? The box has more than 2. I think you posted a procedure to do this , but I could not find it doing search. If you can post a brief summary, would be great. For eg, which ones to jumper, any special precautions/method etc.
Thanks.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Halfshaft 240D.
Those are the same ones I got from advanceautoparts. I think I paid about $70 each.
They seem to be holding up other than some grease flinging out of the outter joint where two peices are pressed together. Boot is clapmed on to a stamped steel peice that is pressed on to the machined part and that is where the grease is comming from.
I had 2 of them do that (out of three), I called the mfg, they said it was just over filled and not to worry about it, they have a lifetime warranty.
I did not buy that reasoning, figured it must be a machining defect.
so, on the 2nd, still on the car, I put a peice of alluminum tape over the junction. If I recall right, they have been on the car for 15K miles now.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Fuel Milage Check '82 240D Auto AC Used
Michael, I use Textron in spark ignition engines. It seems to help a
little. Is OK to use in diesels? Bobby
