Lucas made a vacuum cleaner for the home once too. Only thing they made that didn't suck...

I did - over a very nice 300SL Gullwing and the 600 (which I believe to be the 600 Pullman model)...... I like the flowing lines of the Gullwing! My father drove one of those from Dubbo, NSW to Southport, Queensland for the boss he had at the time - the generator crapped itself coming into Tamworth.... damned Lucas electrics!

Brian,

I don't know if you can get into this if you are not on Facebook, but Classic Center posted some pics of MB's at a recent event that will make you drool a bit:

Completely agree with TN Nate. You will destroy your car if you don't
convert the car to accept veg oil (2 tank) or make biodiesel. I've done
both and for me due to short daily drive distances (and other farm
reasons) make biodiesel. Both have their advantages and disadvantages
and one is not any better than the other. Both will cost you a couple
grand in parts and equipment to do properly but that is recovered
quickly if you do the math. Problem is we are at that $4.000 threshold
where morons steal oil left and right now so it is hand to hand combat
for what a few short years ago was pig feed.

Good one!

To properly run 100% wvo you need a 2 tank system so when its cold you start on diesel and rinse your veggie out of the lines at the end of the day. Some people blend gasoline 15% with wvo and run it,but I disagree. --- On Tue, 3/1/11, Nate Rector <tccservice111@yahoo.com> wrote:
