To each their own Chip ;

As it puts you better than you were , I'd take it and begin anew .

I'm still flabbergasted anyone would steal an old Mercedes Diesel .

I bet it went overseas .

Oh wait ~ you're next to Mexico , they love Diesels more than we do .

Well, here is the number guys.  It's three times what I paid for the car.  Probably more money than I put in it over the last 6 years.

But, it's a first offer number to settle up on the theft.  Any thoughts?  Do I counter offer on the settlement?  Who's done this before.

Thanks for the help.

[diesel_mercedes] So. Cal. TT Drive Sunday 10/13/14

Well kids ;

It's that time of year again so I broke out the vacuum and began readying my '84 300CD Diesel Sports Coupe for another great road rally , I was looking at the tatty plastic heel protector asnd realized I had a much better condition driver's side floor mat in the house , fetched it and Lo ! it's in like new condition and I even cleaned it before stashing it away .

Now I'll have to scrub the rest of the interior to match =8-^ .

We're forecasted for rain to - day so after bagging the three engines in my driveway I scrubbed the windshield and applied some Rain-X ~ unless you've ever tried this <magic> stuff you cannot believe how great it works ~ it's called " The Invisible Windshield Wiper " because as soon as you go over 30 MPH , the _entire_ windshield clears off , no need to run the wipers at all .
