Yes, I have taken them apart before. Once they seize up, it is a sign that lubrication won't solve the problem; i.e. they are binding up. Easy to change and cheap to buy, so after 30+ years I have no problem changing them out. On the first one I took apart some years ago, I squirted oil, grease, magic powder, etc., but it was off track and no juice would put it back.

Thanks I'll take a look.  It seems to want to run today at 140-150. Don't know if it has ever been cleaned out though.

I used almost an entire bottle and followed the full process - flush - rinse - flush - rinse - fill - run - have been enjoying 82C temps ever since….

They are readily available at Euro parts houses and PAP's and ebay. $15.00+/-, maybe more, but not a back breaker.

I have used old sensors and changed them out later.  And by later, I mean next time I need new brakes.  :-)

[diesel_mercedes] RE: Door Checks

 

The rear drivers side door on my 84 300D bounces when I close it.  What do I need to adjust to get it to stop that?  When you close it, it bounces back to being half-latched, cocked an inch out.  I have to keep my hand on it all the way down when I close it to get it to latch and not bounce back.
