if your springs are original, they may just need to be replaced, and
supported by some bilstein HDs.

eibach.com   - contact their tech support, if they have an upgrade to your springs.

I've used them on a 2002 BMW with great improvements.

Also, do you have a real spring shop around where you live?  I had springs made

up, and the cost is reasonable. 

Lastly air shocks?  Check with Monroe and Gabriel if they have a listing for your 240

Napa seems to be pretty useless with mercedes.

That's cool. I never would have had the problem to begin with if he'd
used that, I bet.

Good stuff. Big relief.

We've been running it since August and no further problems, so I figured
you guys would want to know.

Good thing you mentioned it though. It's something I no longer think about.
