Show me an environmentalist that can tell the difference between an atom of carbon from my exhaust and an atom of carbon from a forest or range fire, And I will show you an obnoxious prick that has SOME limited right to bitch about my car.
It's carbon soot folks. It's JUST carbon soot.
And, oh by the way, what happens to all of those tons of heavy metal based additives that gets blown out the exhaust of gasoline cars each year. I would wager that they are much more harmfull than all the carbon soot we produce in the same amount of time.
