Trish,

This looks like a deal. Must not have a title if he is wanting to part it out, though. It would be the factory version of what you have. It's NOT an "SD", however.

I'm gonna call this one.  Wonder why he's parting it out if it runs???  Maybe he's got the same problem I've got.

Now how did that get in there?

Must have been a huge mess on your walk way with all of that glass.  Or did you take them out and just sprinkle them as you walked, like Hansel without his sister Gretel.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Searching for a mechanic and biodiesel in North San Diego County

Dan's was recommended to me also by a single owner of a 1981 240D.
When I went there they informed me they no longer work on anything older than 1990 MB's (but there was a 80's w123 in one of the bays...maybe a personal?)
With much hunting and pecking for service I can't wrap my head around I found:
Coastline Imports ([Old-er]Diesel Mercedes Specialist)
225 South Grand Ave.
Santa Ana, CA 92701
(714) 973-2935
This is the shop all the locals send stuff to that they can't (or won't) fix (i.e. injectors).

The only retail biodiesel station I can find is the Pearson Fuels station on El Cajon Blvd in East San Diego County, about 40 miles to the south of my location. And they only sell B20. I want my B100! Or at least B99. It's ironic that in a place where the U.S. military uses lots of biodiesel, the consumer can hardly find a place to buy it.
