The color code is embossed on the data tag on the radiator core support .

Gonna chime here, Sciatic problems - am on the short list for surgery, and hip joints are shot too, was having trouble walking, could not sleep on my side, etc.
Got down to Mexico & read an article about 'reumofan plus', I don't care if it is 'placibo effect' or what, am walking fine and can sleep on side. Stuff is magic.

Can anyone give the location of the color code, we are going to take car to get painted tomorrow and are having a family fight. SWMBO wants to paint the lower body same color as new (silver) #2-IC (me) wants to paint it a dark color. HELP!!!!!

[diesel_mercedes] That little coolant bypass hose

 

Yesterday, I finally changed that little coolant bypass hose, that's
beneath the thermostat, and now feel better about so upcoming road
trips. The hose looked pretty bad, and was the only coolant hose that
hadn't been changed. The hardest part of doing this job, was cleaning
the gasket surface, while hunched over the front of the car.
