Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: CD's, Manuals, etc Public Note

Hey don't give me this "old man" stuff any more.  I am almost sixty and I pushed a 240d  onto a two wheel dolly myself today. I did that at 6:15 am in weather that was +4 Fahrenheit. So don't pick on your old man, lol.

What I can and Will do, and this is advised by my father/Lawyer, is to let the individuals who were so kind enough to give me advice/help to borrow the Original Manuals that I received from the Manufacturer. My father's words were "Don't try to get away with sneaky stuff, just try to be a genuine person." I think we can all agree that we are a group that helps each other work on their cars together, and that this is in no way immoral for me to assist my friends/group-members.  I think safety is an important issue, I think it is important to take care of your car. Just last week in Mariposa (near Yosemite, California) I lost most of my braking power driving on a dangerous mountainous road in the snow towing my friends 1963 Drag racer on it's original trailer.  No I wasn't towing it with a diesel Mercedes.

Last time there it seemed totally do-able but the conditions were too perfect.  The old man is over sixty now, but his 8 years of Coast Guard and many years of surfing still serve him well.  They don't make cars or people like they used to.
