Re: [diesel_mercedes] Cold Weather Starting Regimine

You forgot to tell him that today we had icy cold rain, hail, and snow down to 2000 feet closing the grapevine and mountain roads with truckers pulled over for the night. So much for our sunny reputation.

Although I live in Sunny So. Cal. , I know _exactly_ what I was
talking about as I read it off the factory provided cold weather
starting card , I referenced it every time I mentioned it too .

_ALWAYS_ read and follow the manuals instructions , then if that
doesn't work , try soemthing else .

No debate. I have obviously flooded my own just this morning, when I
started
it on full throttle. Did the same just an hour ago, too. Flooded my
last one
every winter morn, too. And the company trucks, too. Every day.
Person who advised you lives in southern Cali and has no idea what
he is
saying. Read the Manual!!! The manufacturer would NEVER advise
something
that would lead to flooding, NEVER.
I have seen the exact same starting advice in manuals as diverse as a
mid-sixties Ford truck, mid-seventies VW Rabbit to a late eighties
Iveco,
almost word for word.
But feel free to ignore the advice of the folks who built the car.
After
all, what the hell do they know?!?!
