Since the kid put in a new stereo and speakers which I was told is wired into the lighter I know wires have been cut and patched. This is the first I've seen the light show. I'm just glad it happened when it was daylight and I was with Kevin. If I had been tooling home in the dark I probably would have been freaking out! Not over the lights, but the screaming would have been unsettleing.
Yeah, I've been dripping oil since we got the "new" motor running. It's a leak at the main seal.. which is not going to be repaired by Kevin. He's done messing with this car...on major stuff, he'll still tinker with little things.
CRAP, so no Motor Honey huh. It was recommended by someone on the group that used it. Soooo just ignore the leak? I was joking with Kevin saying I could figure out a way to hook up one of those 5 gallon buckets of oil and have it pump directly into the car...I'd only have to check the bucket from time to time! hahahaha...I know as long as I keep oil in the car I can continue to drive it. But at $13 a gallon and I'm dumping that much in every time I run errands of 100 miles...wow, talk about driving costs. Ouch. And around here it's always a 100 mile drive, unless I only go into Ennis which is 10 miles one way.
Electrical gremlins , in the main ,are usually bad connections here and there so be wary of the lazy " mechanic " who wants to cut any wires or re wire anything .
I didn't notice you mentioning any high oil usage before ~ does it smoke , puke it out or just has myriad leaks from all over the engine ? .
" Motor Honey " is BAD STUFF that will soon KILL THE ENGINE .
