So what is it these guys keep saying??? "There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes". I still have 2- 240's to sell that don't use oil and run like new(because they have new engines) . I wonder why we keep buying "the bargains" that turn out to not be bargains unless we just love working on a car forever.. That much oil up there usually means blo-by and a worn out engine. Is your air cleaner element soaked in engine oil? I would bet yes. Diesels will run forever if you get them to start . My 190D would start OK, run fine, , did not seem to leaK OIL, BUT HAD A oil HABIT I COULD NOT SUPPORT .Sorry about the problems with your car.Max
