The quote below is from the Rid-x site on faq. While Rid-x may be made to be
used for septic systems it should also work in an RV tank. I personally
don't use rid-x but based on the FAQ information at Rid-x I don't see
anything that would make be believe it wouldn't be as good as anything else.
Most points against Rid-x are it doesn't have enough time to start working
but the information below doesn't support that conclusion as I read it.

Q: How soon does RID-X® begin work?
A: The enzymes in RID-X® begin working as soon as they come in contact with
water. The bacteria take 2-4 hours to germinate and then begin to break down
solid waste. If the temperature and conditions are favorable, then the
bacteria will multiply to the maximum level that the environment will allow
in about 2-4 days. Since septic systems vary, the speed at which the
bacteria and enzymes break down waste varies.
