PS - You can often find part pics or schematics that will give you a visual. And, there is nothing like digging the old part out and going eyeball to eyeball with it.

OK so I'm looking online for my filter and it dawned on me...if we're supposed to purge the system over and over again for a month or so till it's nice and clean..what about the filter?  Shouldn't it also be changed frequently until the fluid is clear?

My other question is what on earth is this that O'Reilly is selling?
