Glad it helped .
I'd suggest getting a steno pad and a pencil that'll fit in it's coiled spring , keep a running list of notes , parts needed etc. and cross them off as you go .
Separate lists for the P-A-P things like : spare fuel line hose clamps , spare blue colored radiator drain plug & gasket .....
By making lists and comparing prices , you can shop 'round the InterNet when it's cold / rainy out and you're slurping coffee with Kevin & the cats ......
Always buy more fuel filters and chemicals than you think you'll need when they're on sale , keep spare fuel filters & the special fuel hose clamps in the glovebox so you never have to have the fun Chip did late at night , far from home....
I also keep bottles of my fuel additives and engine oils , ATF in the trunk's sidewells , they're plastic so the normal water puddles there won't hurt them .
If you carefully remove the black plastic trunk side liners , you'll find greasy filthy water there in the bottom , use an old sponge or towel to mop dry then *gently* poke the round rubber ' drain' (yeah , right) tube thingie open so most of the water might leak out next time .
I also wash under there once or twice a year as a little bit of dust buildup turns into mud & clogs the drain valve thingie nearly instantly .
I hope this helps , being pragmatic and diligent will get you where you want to be , Mercedes is a *perfect* farm vehicle as this philosophy dovetails well with country / farm life .
