I'm hoping this was a Pick-A-Part yard list ? . regular junkyards sometimes think any Mercedes is valuable instead of just another old luxury car rich folks won't be caught dead driving.... P-A-P typically has the best pricing .
Have you looked closely at the rubber boots on the drive axles yet ? .
If they're ripped or even cracked , they'll need replacing ere long and there's plenty of rebuilt ones on wrecks and junkers others have given up on ~ 1/2 off a rebuilt drive axle would be very sweet indeed .
All I got to do to - day was _drive_ my beautiful , reliable , economical , comfy & _fast_ (oops) Mercedes Diesel Sports Coupe to the jobsite , then I hadda work on other folks junk all day with Tom and Tim supervising , didn't get to touch the old bus and it rained Saturday morning and covered it with crud from the tree so now it looks like a Mud Bogger.......
At least I know that to - morrow morning @ 0-Dark:30 it'll spring into life easily and zoom me to work at seriously post legal speeds with the news & views on the Becker Electronic Radio =8-) .
