Did you replace the windshield or backlight grommets ? I need both for SWMBO's 240D , the windshield too but that's not going to happen I'll buy the rubber grommets as long as new(ish) & not Taiwanese .

Just push the glass out with both feet , lay towels over your shoes & wear glasses .

It was a new windshield on dead grommet.  The car went away this morning with the windshield, based on the PITA of shipping to a potential buyer.  I wanted to keep it but was over ruled.  Couldn't believe the scrap yard paid $100 and drove about 60 MI to pick up what was basically a gutted car.
