[diesel_mercedes] I hope no one told me this was THAT easy...

When I bought my '83 SD.. The previous owner had "sheared" the washer
fluid hose off of the pump housing, installing a LOVELY new 3 year
free replacement battery.. (don't know HOW I negotiated THAT one!)..

...I told him, hey, no biggie, I'll just get another reservior /
whatever..

I bought a pump this summer, from someone with a bunch of other parts
on ebay (spare glow plug relay, can't remember WHAT else) and threw
it in a box in the trunk, for "someday..."

With salt spray-- I decided to pull it out, and take the bull by the
horns..

Uh-- the old one "snaps" out, and the new one "pops" in.. Attach the
hose.. DONE..

....I've looked longer for my keys, but lets not go "there..."

Anyway-- first, I wanted to mention this to ANYONE, like me, who's
been neglecting to do this.. It's the easiest repair you can do on
the car..

NOW-- is it possible to "AIM" the nozzles on the hood?? My previous
cars have always had the "jets" on the wiper arms..

It looks like they're little "balls" with holes thru them, and you
could put a small drill bit/nail (something) in them, and re-direct
them..

...true, or not true??
