I did this on a Jeep and a dunebuggy I had. I found that at times, fuel
would slosh out.....and, if the tank was extremely full and a hot day, it
would actually leak........
I'd recommend 'shielding' (like drill the hole behind some part that would
not allow a direct line for splashing fuel to the hole) the hole if you
drill the cap, or, find a high spot on the tank and put a tube with a "p"
trap configuration.
Just some random thoughts.

building vacumm thats bad.I don't no where the tank vent is (126).
Can't I just drill a small hole in fuel cap? Done that on several cars
when charcoal canister goes bad.
