FWIW ;
I don't ever sand nor abrade electrical connections as it forces the problem(s) to return , soon and worse .
I use METAL POLISH and you should too .
Lastly , a 70 Ampere alternator is a beautiful thing and prolly a good idea for those who live where freezing temps are routine .
