402 miles , 26.2 MPG . NO AC use .
NO Statron , I ran out and wrote them asking where to buy ? .
The Starbrite web site has a store locator but it only shows " Autozone " FLAPS and they don't ever carry the gallon jugs , I _NEED_ it in gallons ! .
No Diesel Kleen either .
38° F this morning , I let the glow plugs cycle almost until the relay clicked (long after the light went off) and it started easily , no foot throttle necessary ~ I know my use of super thin synthetic engine oils helps not only easy cold Wx. starting but it also gets up out of the sump and circulates & begins lubricating faster .
I get heat in about 2 miles of gentle , 1/4 to 1/3 throttle driving .
I only allow idle long enough to put on my safety belt and adjust the radio , heater and lights then I move off slowly .
By the time I hit the Freeway the heat is blasting and I can safely wind it up to 80 + MPH .
