Of the front of the engine.....
Just use your ignition key , my 84/85 TD's tailgate only unlocks by vacuum if the engine is running so it's a two handed affair to open it after it sits a couple days .
You have to hold the key turned as far as it'll go whilst you press in the button and lift the tailgate .
