Got nothing Mercedes Diesel to talk about, unless you want to buy my 1981 300D turbo...I might trade it to someone for a '95 F150 4x4 for Kevin. Thinking about it. He's selling his F250 pos, he's done working on it, now the tranny is acting up and this particular one is one of 7% they made with that particular tranny.
When I lived in Burbank I'd get up in the middle of the night, shower and flop back into bed just to be cool enough to sleep. A friend that had a pool used to go for a late night swim then back to bed. My cats would curl around the base of the toilet or in the sink, tub or shower to stay cool. Tile floors were a blessing!
I do remember early car ac's that were a funnel thing on the window and a bag of water.
I've used the large hard side blue ice things to keep cool on a drive. Thankfully I have ac now!

Where is everybody ? .
Two days , no posts , I know not everyone is out working on old Mercedes....
It's been bugger all hot here in La La Land , Saturday Tom brought over his W-126 and we let the locksmith ruin the lock cylinder whilst we sweated like dogs and rebuilt two working Hirschmann antennas using parts from three later model ones , , I hated to toss out those newer ones but once I robbed the mast out they're junk , no ? .
We passed by SEARS to buy me a new pocket radio and I fell asleep in a recliner , AC is a wonderous thing . after the third time , the sales people stopped asking if I needed anything and left me alone , when I awoke I felt refreshed and happy so I bought some AA batteries , Tom bought some new typ of 3/8" drive sockets that supposedly grab any fastener head and we headed back to work .
