The brake lining wear lamp is for the front brakes , after you've replaced the front pads , top up the brake fluid but NOT before ! .
Poor grounds often cause those lamp defective lights to come on , have your freindly Mercedes Dealer rip his hair out over those .
Or , simply remove all the running lamps and check to ensure they're matched left to right as using an off brand replacement bulb often fools the warnng light to remain on .
