Yep, that's why I have a Nissan and my Mercedes is up for sale. I'd rather have my husband then a Mercedes. Then I found out that it's a chevy motor you can dump in a Jaguar to have a good car...he gave me one of THOSE looks and tapped me in the forehead asking "what is it with you a these cars?" :) I swear even if only for a short time I WILL own a Jag some day! Love those cars. Not too practical for where we live though.
I'm selling my MB for $1100 with the extra motor. These people think they're going to get a car right off the showroom floor for that price. Geez. Now I'm marketing it as the Texas Longhorn color of orange!
Good luck! BTW last night I did tell him we COULD have purchased your car for less than what we paid for that stupid Nissan and he would have had to do less work. HE chose that car, then argued with me over the price to pay right in front of the seller, then spent $200 and a full Saturday replacing tie rods, CV joints, etc, etc. And all four tires were different, I spent another $70 on two used tires since the wires were poking out. On top of that the return line for the gas tank leaks, so I can't put in more than 1/2 a tank at a time or it will leak out. We lost 1/4 tank TWICE before we realized what was happening. And I discovered in the pouring rain that if I let it get down to 1/4 tank, I just might run out! He had to drive all the way home to bring me gas since I was stuck at the end of our driveway. Thankfully it was just before I got out on the busy road! I was able to roll backwards out of the way. OH and the really fun part???? The stupid alarm system sets itself when it feels like it! Stranded me for an hour at a gas station a week ago. This week I got stuck for about a half hour. Nissan says "there's a glitch in the system" DUH. No way to disconnect the factory system! So when it sets, the lights & blinkers flash & the kill switch is activated. They told me to lock/unlock the door with the key to reset it. That works, eventually. At least we disconnected the horn so it doesn't blare the entire time I'm struggling with the system. I will be really mad if that happens at midnight when I get off work or in the rain or freezing cold.
