I ended up selling the car and broke even. The transmission problem was a little more serious than I had originally thought. It shifted great, even a bit firm, when cold, and once it warmed up, it would slip during the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts. We test drove the car after it had been driven out to my house, so we didn't get a chance to test it cold until we drove it the next day.
