Fletcher Jones Mercedes is a Newport Beach dealer. Pricey, but well equipped to do the job. My solution is a) lots of graphite blown in the ignition, and b) a gentle gentle touch.

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] HELP! Wife is in Newport beach no start.
We were occasionally having a small problem with the ignition not turning to the
start position. It's usually solved by pulling out the key, reinserting and
then it will go to the start position. She's tried a hundred times. Is there a
reliable locksmith or mechanic in Newport Beach that could take a look at it?
