Re: [diesel_mercedes] U joint & windows

OK so they are called flex discs...can they be put in wrong?

Well, remember I have those red neck window switches...so mine might not go down due to the way my car is rigged.

And Brian...Hard to keep up with you being on here and fb at the same time! :)

1.  Flex discs.
2.  Pull the window things and clean them thoroughly. Diesel Giant (and others, even here) have "how to" pictures. I think I even posted pictures of my fix under Brians xyz pics.

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] U joint & windows

I know it's not called a U joint on a MB but Kevin can't remember what it is called and I know you know what we're talking about...

Anyhow I have a thud or vibration whether I'm accelerating or not.

Kevin wonders if it matters how he put the transmission etc together.  He says there's a "triangle shaped thing" he said on "normal" cars it's the u joint, he hooked up and he wonders if it could have been put on wrong???

Other than that it's rather smooth driving! :)

Really, really need to get that fan for the front of the car so I have a/c...it's getting HOT here...today hovering around 90.

OH and since I only have 2 functioning windows...curious..how far down are the back windows supposed to go?  Mine does not go all the way down.
