Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Car Starts...fixed for $20...thanks!

Don't overlook your local pap yard. Since  got my first 300D (1975) I have hunted/gathered some 200+ fuses from vw's bmw's mb's audi's - just about anything german. And all while I was there looking for something for some other car that wasn't as reliable as my 3 decade old german iron. So they were essentially free. Not bad that.
Two years ago I found a nearly new set of tires on a t-boned SD. Best hundred bucks I spent that year. Not to mention window switches, inside door handles, spare flasher modules, light housings and headlight surrounds, and those cute little MB logos in the middle of the steering wheels. Nothing major. But hey, the big stuff rarely goes bad.
It's amazing what you can get at a junkyard for spare change these days.

I'll quit now,
bogy.

Well, I drove all over Santa Fe (had to charge the battery, so why not) and eventually found them at 2 different places.  Good news is I only spend about $11, bad news is I only got 10 white and it looks like I might need 13(?)

I'll try to snag some spares in the near future :)  found a seller on ebay for 9.99 + $1.50 shipping (and I think 30 total fuses) but I didnt want to wait.

1983 300SD (OM617)

Also, I found this:

And will see if I can't make my own on some cardstock but meanwhile...my theory is Fuse 15 is my gremlin since first the rear dome wouldn't go out, now the rear doorlight, and my antenna doesn't seem to work.  So I hope it's just the fuse.
