Thanks Nate...it's worth a lot :)
I'm still learning about what tools are good to have on hand, which ones can be cheap, which ones are worth extra $, etc.
Of course, I had no idea what you were talking about, and at first I was thinking "But me and my beautiful assistant ARE a pair of dykes...and we tried!" and then I realized you must be talking about a tool so I looked it up ;) Ha!
And when I encountered that pesky stripped screw, I *knew* there had to be a good general way of dealing with those, and now I know!
As for clamps, that's good to know that the mercedes ones are worth keeping. I also bought an assortment of the german style, they have ridges but not the same kind, so they don't cut into the hoses. Good to know that was a worthy purchase :) I've already swapped out a few while putting in some new flexible fuel line sections.
