Re: [diesel_mercedes] Ignition switch locking up?

It's the steering column locking pin that is usually the problem. I
avoid the pin dropping and becoming stuck by leaving my steering wheel
spokes vertical instead of horizontal when I remove my key. If I
forget, it usually takes 3 or 4 minutes of jiggling the steering and the
key to get it loose.
