[diesel_mercedes] Re: Ignition switch locking up?

# 1 thing to do :

Go to Mercedes Dealer with your reggie in hand (they'll want to look at it) and order up two new keys ~ as the keys wear they cause the lock cylinder tumblers to wear and this causes the lock to jamb occasionally . the correct key , not a copy , usually stops this .

Also , NEVER hang a big bunch of keys off an ignition key ~ this wears out the locks in jig time .

You can go to your local Chrysler / Jeep dealer and order up a can of P/N 04318039AC spray lubricant , it's liquid Graphite and it *perfect* for every key lock you have , the house ones too .
