What I do is :
I keep a 5 gallon plastic bucket full of the tools I use to work on the car , this way , when I get to the junkyard , I have all the tools I'll need plus a few more as often the grille has 7 , 8 , 9 & 10 MM headed screws holding it on so I carry a full set of cheapo Metric nut drivers along with four different size phillips head screw drivers and so on .
If ever I need to do some heavy work I go to my tool box for the big 1/2" drive ratchets and sockets .
Here in Sunny So. Cal. . home to lazy Journeyman Mechanics like me , I usually find an old shopping cart in the parking lot or inside the gate , I always ask the yard apes to go fetch it and then load my bucket of tools into it for easy access .
Or , you can buy one of those inexpensive folding hand cart things Lawyers etc. use , they'll carry your tool box or bucket easily , just remember to use a bungie cord or rope to hold it from falling off and spilling all your tools .
