It is not possible to be unable to shut off the engine by hand ~ I've tried it and if everything is perfect & the key is on , it takes a hefty shove but it'll still rumble to a halt .
I'd not let any girl I didn't know as a Mechanic who likes old cars , drive any vehicle I own , much less my irreplacable Mercedes Benz Diesel Sports Coupe .
Can't you just take a bus up to it and drive it home ? .
Just Tuesday a fine Lady I know , borrowed her brother's truck and killed the engine in about 5 miles , she even likes the truck but didn't seem to quite grasp " it's beat , drive it easy " as she spooled it up as fast as it'd go and held it there until it expired then called me and said 'oopsie ! ' .
