You're going to love this :
Release the locks on each hood spring and raise the hood until it's vertical , then they're loose and fairly easy to replace .
_DO_NOT_ use Vise Grips , Water Pump Pliers or Tommy Bars ! the hinges proper are sheet metal and very easy to bend & ruin , another whole headache you DON'T want to experiance .
Be aware the hood locks are also delicate , hold the hood with one hand whilst you gently press down on the _left_ one , once it's loose it'll lock 1/4" out , go to the right side and repeat , if the left one re - locks , you moved the hood to much , try again .
