    Thanks for responding.  I have a slightly different question from normal.  Mostly on this list we're looking for mechanical or body part information.  But I've discovered that the 560SEL (and maybe other 126 models) have amplifier modules mounted on the metal panel behind the rear seat.  These appear to drive the rear deck speakers. 

 

    I want to locate schematics and any available tech literature on these modules.  They look like an interesting balanced circuit design with symetrical pairs of TDA7232 preamps driving symetrical TDA7260 chips driving pairs of power transistors. 

 

    I'm thinking that they should be an easy install into my 300SD and maybe into Nate's 300CD, for better stereo.  But knowing basic stuff like what the connections are on the multipin connector is necessary. 

 

    Also as an old audio tech, I'm just interested in what makes them work. 

 

    The modules have a few rows of numbers on them.  The top row is 126 820 1489. 

 

    The next row is 599.344-819. 

 

    The next row is 963 DB. 

 

    The bottom row is V 21208158 (one module) and V 21323105 (second module).  So I'm guessing the bottom row is the serial number. 

 

    If there is any information available on these I would be delighted.  Please let me know as soon as possible. 

 

    I hope your "going away" for the next two week is for vacation or something else good, rather than for any problem.
