Hi Phil,
That's what I thought when my generator sent out a white smoke cloud and
would not keep running.
I read through the Powertech manual and one of the white smoke causes listed
was a dirty air filter. It worked for me. I have a couple thousand hours on
it since that happened. Now when I see white puffs of smoke when starting
the Gen I change the air filter and as is well again. I know the 5.9 engine
is not the same as the Kubota but it's worth a shot.
